SOUNDTRACK:  "Time Goes By" by Swan Productions At first glance, Sertolovo’s architecture appears like collection of individual buildings—a collection of simple volumes and repeated geometric patterns.

Yet beneath this apparent simplicity lies a surprisingly complex relationship between scale, rhythm and perspective. The film explores this ambiguity by gradually revealing the architecture from the darkness, allowing individual  façade elements to emerge, overlap and repeat before becoming part of a larger composition.

Lines, forms, and shapes are arranged proportionally to create, and break, repetitions, balance, and unity. Light, movement and reflection further blur the boundaries between architecture and abstraction, turning the project’s seemingly straightforward geometry into an study of  Gestalt theory.
