Picture this...a tropical island with perfect weather year around, a secluded cove hugged by hills featuring a 1.7km secluded private beach...a creek cascading down the hills, down the rice paddy terraces, culminating in a little lake...and amongst it all; a picturesque, quaint resort starring a quintessential Indochine experience.

After driving along a meandering road flanked by lush landscape the road suddenly opens up to a small charming little square. As guests hop off their vehicles, they walk through a heavy timber gate, along a covered pedestrian bridge leading them over a lotus and fish pond. The faint sunlight from the semi-open roof dapples on their faces. A slight breeze brushes through the hair whilst they continue to meander over the pond, gravitating towards the reception hall. The atmosphere here is calm and tranquil. The refreshing scent of ocean air fills the space, while the burbling water from the pond offers a constant, mesmerising background sound. They’ve arrived at their holiday destination.

From here, guest are led to their hillside, lake or ocean front villas – all built around a quaint little lake surrounded by rice paddies, and fed by a natural creek cascading down a neighbouring hill behind the resort. Each villa enjoys a private entrance leading into its own inner courtyard that connects multiple separate building structures. The interiors continue the architecture’s beautiful Indochine design language. Each villa compound features an open-plan indoor living and dining area that opens up to a private alfresco experience. A porch leads to a private pool and Jacuzzi together with an outdoor dining pavilion nested amongst lushly layered landscaping.

In the coming days, guests will discover the picturesque grounds, and its accompanying amenities including a spa that is nested on the southern end of the resort; built over the lake and a small little islet. A gymnasium is located on the opposite side of the lake, on its northern tip, overlooking the water, adjacent rice terraces, and the rolling hills in the background. The fully equipped gym features an array of workout and cardio equipment, its own infinity lap pool, and two yoga pavilions built over the picturesque lake. Further north, a separate children’s crèche featuring an outdoor playground in the centre and multiple architecturally purpose-designed buildings offers much needed playtime for the little ones, and respite for the adults. Two themed Asian and Western fusion restaurants, a separate bistro, a beach-side pool bar, two common area swimming pools with Jacuzzis and cabanas, and a pier leading to yet another restaurant offer a plethora of choices to wine, dine or just relax.
