The following is an excerpt of our creative direction and CG images created for the second marketing
phase of Gran Meliá Nha Trang:
Going against the grain of displaying stereotypical sun-sand-beach vacation images, we envisioned a
campaign that showcases the beauty of the resort between the holiday
seasons.
The setting is sometime between mid-September and late November. We’re
amidst the annual Monsoon season. The summer holiday crowds have left, and the
winter holiday season is yet to begin. The sky is overcast, the light is dull.
Today’s afternoon showers finally stopped a while ago. The
grounds are still drenched. The humidity is high, yet the temperature feels
pleasantly comformtable. It’s neither hot, nor cold. It feels enjoyably warm and fresh at the
same time. The air is clean, yet a slighly moist
scent lingers in the air. There is no wind.
It’s eerily quiet; no chatter of people, no
traffic noise in the distance, no birds chirping. Only the constant sound of gentle waves
breaking ashore, and the occasional high pitched sound of a lost cicada that appears to scream out to others without success.
